This position is located in Columbia, MO and would require relocation. Relocation will be provided.

WHAT TO EXPECT As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Columbia, MO plant, you will be an Human Resource Business Partner.

  • Manage HR activities across multiple union and non-union facilities
  • Work with the Plant Managers at each location to develop strategies that support their operation
  • Work closely with the HR Centers of Excellence to ensure consistency and standardization is use in the implementation of these strategies
  • Work through the local HR team to implement HR activities that are facility specific and/or corporate driven

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • - work with Plant Managers to identify facility direction, establish HR objectives in line with facility objectives, and develop HR strategies around workforce planning
  • - implement HR strategies utilizing on-site HR to include employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations. Provide guidance regarding contract and non-contract issues, including but not limited to discipline, grievance and arbitration resolution, employment terms and conditions, problem-solving, contract administration, and negotiations.
  • - represent management negotiating team, support the grievance and arbitration process, and maintain positive employee relations and labor-management relations. Prepare, interpret, process, and educate around changes to collective bargaining agreements and contract negotiations. Administer and manage the negotiation process, formulate and implement the direction and objectives of the negotiation, provide guidance in data gathering to support business objectives for negotiation and provide consultation and guidance to management.
  • - manage HR staff and activities at multiple facilities to include recruiting, training, coaching, counseling staff, performance reviews, maintaining compensation, designing systems, resolving problems and implementing change. Support management and employees by providing HR advice, counsel, gathering and analyzing information and directing them to the appropriate resources to resolve issues. Clarify issues and priorities, communicate and coordinate job requirements and evaluate optional courses of action and direction.

ABOUT YOU

  • 8 years of progressive experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or work experience combined with relevant education a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a union environment in a manager level role
  • Experience in partnering with business leaders on developing and driving initiatives
  • High Level interpersonal and leadership skills; must be able to influence and coach across multiple levels within the company and locations
  • Excellent decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to staff and develop an effective and capable team
  • Change management leadership capability
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with direct negotiations, contract administration, grievance handling, and complex investigations
  • This is a multi-facility management role and will require 25-30% travel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
