Gary Merlino Construction is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Seattle, WA
- Accounts Payable; code and enter invoices, complete check runs, process annual 1099s, and respond to vendors
- Enter deposits and invoices for various divisions
- Update, maintain, and analyze various reports to include daily transactions spreadsheets, depreciation reports, and other as needed
- Prepare a monthly schedule for fixed assets and marketable securities
- Reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
- Process monthly and quarterly B&O taxes for specific divisions
- Prepare monthly divisional financial statements
- Assist the divisional controller and project accountant as needed
- Basic understanding of Accounting Principles
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with accounting software (Sage Timberline preferred)
- Knowledge of general office practices
- Ability to prepare records, reports and correspondence neatly and professionally
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization; establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public.
