Description

Exceptional after Sales Support. Fulfill customer needs by selling parts and accessories offered by our Dealership at a competitive price and high degree of satisfaction. To represent and promote the Sales, Service, Parts, and Rental Department operations and store network in a positive manner, which insures customer confidence, repeat business, and maximum return for the Dealership.

Principal & Essential Duties: The principle & essential duties of Parts Sales consist of, but are not limited to the following.

  1. Keep a friendly and positive attitude. Be the best at name retention, phone skills, greeting, and establishing rapport with customers.
  2. Use the parts system computer system to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
  3. Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.
  4. Receive and fill telephone orders for parts professionally and politely.
  5. Fill customer orders from stock or special order. Contact the customer when special order parts arrive
  6. Prepare sales invoices
  7. Complete CNH Capital Plan for customer credit
  8. Take inventory of stock. Notify Manager on any daily discrepancies.
  9. Give advice to customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
  10. Examine returned parts for warranty defects, and exchange defective parts; complete the warranty process, tagging, storing, and completing invoice.
  11. Mark and store parts in stock areas according to Garton Tractor’s systems. Keep parts bins, showroom displays organized and clean.
  12. Sell additional parts by “Suggestive Selling”. The influence of adding a needed part with convincing reasoning to buy can be a time saving advantage to the customer.
  13. Communicate with persons outside the Company — Communicate positively with people outside the organization, representing the Company to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  14. Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  15. Communicate parts information, processes, and efficiencies with Supervisors, Peers, and other employees. Provide this information to supervisors by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Most issues that arise are from lack of communication.
  16. Making Decisions and Solving Problems — analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  17. Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge — Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job. Factory training is a mandatory requirement as noted by your Manager.
  18. Any other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.

Standards and Measurement of Performance: You will meet or exceed your expectations when the following occurs:

  1. Accomplish set annual sales and profit margin goals with your fellow parts associates.
  2. Meeting skill sets per job classification.
  3. Relationships with and satisfied customers.
  4. Parts and System knowledge; ability to look up and supply parts accurately
  5. Department cleanliness.
  6. New ideas, knowledge, or processes are presented to the Parts Manager
  7. Attend meetings and special events.
  8. Work with and promote the Service and Sales Departments; excellence in team member working relationships.
  9. Fulfillment of the described duties, Company Policies, and Standard Operating Procedures.

COMPENSATION – FLSA Standard is Non-Exempt
