This is a part-time, seasonal, salaried position located in Parachute, CO. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.Responsibilities include: Reinforce effective operation and management of the football program, which would include, but not limited to planning and organizing, and promoting safety for the Grand Valley Football Team, Activities Department, and PEG League rules.Demonstrate productive coaching strategies, skills and knowledge of football (both offensive and defensive) to athletes.Collaborate and assist Head Coach and Assistant Coach to produce, implement, and utilize effective weekly game plans.Establish effective communication and build quality relationships with student participants, parents, and community in general.Provide a safe and nurturing environment for athletes during practice and games.Assist the student athlete in the areas of academic excellence, eligibility, and provide an atmosphere of personal growth.A genuine commitment and work ethic to Grand Valley Middle School philosophies, students, staff and surrounding community.Supervise students before, during and after practice until parent/guardian arrives to pick up the athlete. Desired qualifications: One or more years of football coaching experienceSkills related to coaching, teaching, and mentoring athletes Interest and enthusiasm for sportsAbility to inspire confidence and motivate athletesKnowledge of PEG League rules and regulationsKnowledge and management of sports related injuries Required Qualifications: Must have a current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.Must have Concussion certification from the NFHS.Must complete school district small vehicle training.Must complete Mandatory Reporter Training Application Procedure: APPLY ONLINECertified positions require a Colorado certificate or license.
