Gardenology, Inc. is a successful design build landscape company here in Asheville, NC and we are looking for a creative passionate landscaping team members.

We install high-end landscapes for residential clients that value design and long-lasting, quality craftsmanship. You'll get to work with some of the best landscape designers and custom home builders in this area!

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be passionate about plants!
• Must have a solid knowledge of native plants!
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in the horticulture / landscaping industry (beyond just mowing weed-whacking)
• Knowledge of horticultural practices, plant culture, and pest management is a plus. Interest and passion for NC horticulture is very important
• Problem solving skills and an eye for detail related to landscaping
• Able to safely load and unload plants and other materials to/from trucks and trailers
• Ability to drive a truck with trailer is a plus
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and equipment, including their care and troubleshooting (e.g. pruners, shears, hedge trimmers, chain saw, backpack blower, pole saw, etc.)
• Willingness ability to safely work with and apply herbicides and other chemicals
• Enjoy being outdoors & working in all types of weather with fluctuating conditions
• Must be physically fit, able to lift 50 lbs regularly; kneel, stoop, bend, reach below overhead
• Ability to read and write in English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with coworkers, project managers, client representatives, homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, and property managers.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and be proactive; must be comfortable with and able to take initiative as appropriate.
• Basic computer skills
• Unrestricted, valid Drivers License and your own reliable transportation
• Have a positive attitude and be solution-minded
• Be organized, punctual, and hard-working
• Able to follow direction and work independently along with a team
• Willingness to learn from others

Our work days are Monday - Friday starting at 8am. We strive for 8 hour days and a healthy work/life balance, but there may be days when there's extra work and hours (overtime rates are paid at 40 hours/wk).
