We are seeking a Landscape Enhancement Crew Member who is motivated, responsible and enjoys working outdoors. As a Landscape Enhancement Crew Member, you will play a vital role in enhancing the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces. Working closely with our landscape designers and project managers, you will be responsible for executing various landscape enhancement projects to meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations. This role requires a passion for landscaping, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of new landscapes and renovations under the guidance of our Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader.

  • Perform landscape enhancement tasks including planting, mulching, sodding, and installing landscape features such as decorative rocks, pavers, and retaining walls.

  • Assist in the preparation of job sites by clearing debris, grading surfaces, and ensuring proper drainage.

  • Operate and maintain landscape equipment and tools, including but not limited to small heavy equipment, chainsaws, blowers, and hand tools.

  • Follow landscape design plans and project specifications to ensure accurate implementation of enhancements.

  • Communicate professionally and courteously with team members, project managers, and clients to coordinate work and address any concerns or questions.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment storage areas.

  • Assist with other landscape maintenance tasks as needed, including irrigation repair, pest control, and seasonal clean-ups.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year experience in the landscape/construction industry preferred.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Time management skills.

  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.

  • Valid driver's license and eligibility to be added to the company insurance policy.

  • Knowledge of landscape plants, materials, and installation techniques.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional quality workmanship.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

  • Ability to operate landscape equipment and tools safely and effectively.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the landscaping industry.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.

 

Compensation

Expect 40 – 50 hours per week in season (approximately March 1 – December 15) and 40 hours out of season (weather dependent). Pay starts between $17-$20 an hour depending on experience.
