Position Objective: To provide support for the CDC’s Office of Readiness and Response (ORR) - Division of Emergency Operations (DEO) related to establishment, implementation, execution, and maintenance of the public health emergency responder coordination programs, also known as CDC Ready Responder. The goal for this project is to have a fully designed training plan to allow for agency preparedness and response readiness, before an activation happens. Training frequency will vary depending on category of training. General Responder Training, once fully designed, will be delivered prior to a response activation to all cadres and role-specific types. Refresher training should occur, after a certain period of time, to ensure responders retain the
information. Role-specific training will be managed the same way, in advance of an activation, to ensure readiness.
Objectives include:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a Systematic Training Plan
Assist with the development of a systematic training plan, to include an operational timeline to map out the training requirements and the development of required training for the CDCReady Responder program. It is anticipated that this task will take six (6) months to accomplish. For this task, at a minimum, the following activities shall be conducted and included in the plan:
i. Behavioral Science
ii. Data and Application
iii. Epidemiology/Surveillance
iv. Infection Prevention and Control
General Responder Curriculum Development
Provide support to ORR/DEO to develop the basic emergency responder general training required for all responders. The Government estimates this task to take eight (8) months to complete. For this task, the following activities shall be conducted:
Role-Specific Curriculum Development
Provide support to ORR/DEO for the development of role-specific curriculum. Government estimates this task will take eight (8) months to complete the curriculum for a single role. This task can be exercised up to ten (10) times. If ORR/DEO funds the development of multiple role-specific trainings through this Task, support for those trainings will be developed simultaneously. For this task, the following activities shall be conducted:
