Job Summary and Qualifications

The Digital Marketing Specialist will support the continued optimization of Galen’s digital marketing experience delivered to student prospects. Key responsibilities will include assisting in the maintenance and optimization of Galen’s website as well as day to day management of key student marketing and cultivation tasks. These tasks will include but are not limited to management of our marketing automation platform, email/SMS campaigns, and website experience. Analyzing (and in some cases building) web optimization, digital campaign performance reports will also be part of this role’s responsibilities.

The ideal candidate also possesses experience in providing digital support for event-based marketing plans, including but not limited to creation of landing pages, lead management, coordinating promotional activities, managing logistics, and supporting event partnerships through communication and digital campaigns. The digital marketing specialist will continue to stay educated on digital marketing trends, with a heavy focus on web experience and inbound marketing tactics to generate student leads.

Position Responsibilities:

• Update website and other digital content as needed.
• Carry out day to day project tasks as part of the development and execution of lead nurturing and marketing automation initiatives (email, SMS, other channels).
• Support the execution of organic search campaigns and optimizations (SEO) based on strategic objectives and goals in collaboration with creative teams.
• Support the regular digital and event-based marketing needs of the college’s partnership managers (recruiters).
• Assist in the content and asset delivery of advertising and lead generation digital media campaigns in support of Galen’s media agency partner.
• Continue to find ways to evolve and enhance performance marketing and website analytics reports.
• Stay current with digital media trends and make recommendations as necessary on the direction and new modes of communication.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Experience:

• 5 years in digital marketing or online marketing role.
• Experience with WordPress CMS, WP plugins such as Yoast SEO.
• Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms, such as Oracle Eloqua, Marketo, or HubSpot, or expert-level experience with email/SMS marketing platforms such as ConstantContact or MailChimp.
• Experience with creating and updating SEO copy/content including, keyword research, paid media landing page management, and integrated digital/online marketing.
• Experience with event management software, such as Cvent, Eventbrite or AirTable.
• Experience with Google My Business Listing, Google Business Suite and Apple Maps location manager.
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics or other web analytics platforms.
• Experience with tagging, tracking, and data integrations which power Galen’s marketing technology stack. Database management a plus.
• HTML/CSS knowledge a plus.

Special Qualifications: 5 years in a similar role. College/Online University student recruiting a plus.
