Responsibilities
Greets and directs patients and visitors
Schedules appointments and enters appointment dates and time into PromptEMR & Daily Management Report (DMR)
Keep track of patient referrals & patient leads; log in PromptEMR & DMR
Disseminate information to & from patients; act as a go-between for patients, clinicians & referring physician offices
Collect payments; insurance verification & be able to discuss payment options when needed
Work with 3rd party medical biller & insurance verifier, send benefits paperwork to billing companies when required
Communicate with the clinicians about scheduling / patient arrival
Records when appointments have been filled or canceled. Upon patient cancellation, emails or notes to scheduled therapists reason for cancellation and indicates if the patient has rescheduled.
Assist with other tasks when needed such as field events (Trade Shows, Lunch & Learn’s, Physician Relations)
Adhere to company’s policies and procedures & values
Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience working in a medical facility preferred but not required
Prior experience with insurance billing preferred but not required
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Positive attitude, good work ethic, integrity and empathetic toward people that are in pain
Excellent at handling people, communicating and multitasking
Complete FYZICAL CCS training
