FYF Protective Solutions LLC is Hiring a Fire Alarm Technician Near New York, NY

Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, and maintain fire protection systems according to industry standards and regulations
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety codes
- Perform low voltage wiring and troubleshooting for fire alarm systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure proper installation of fire protection systems
- Conduct regular maintenance and testing of fire suppression systems
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance during fire incidents
- Conduct fire drills and train employees on proper evacuation procedures

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant codes and regulations
- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for system design and layout
- Mechanical knowledge for the installation and maintenance of fire protection equipment
- Ability to detect and troubleshoot issues in fire alarm systems
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Experience as a service technician in the fire protection industry is a plus
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for installation and maintenance work
