Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient facility. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting patient history, and preparing patients for examinations
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling insurance forms
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Educate patients on proper self-care techniques and medication instructions
- Assist with patient service activities such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and addressing patient inquiries
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficient in performing vital signs measurements and medication administration
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
