This said, while we would love to hire people who have some experience, NO EXPERIENCE is necessary because we will teach you all the stuff you'll need to know.

In fact, you'll have a lot of fun learning how to cook our World Famous Fud Burgers, Chicken Pucker’s, Fish Pucker’s and many of the Fudnominal Culinary Creations that Father Fud and Executive Chef Pierce create.

We also invite you to show your creative talents and we will reward you if we choose one of your items for our menu. In addition to having fun and learning how to cook really good stuff, you'll actually learn things that we guarantee will remain with you for the rest of your life.

It’s TRUE, because our focus is on LIFE LESSONS and you will leave here with a boatload of them.

You probably already know this, but Fudpucker's is one of the most famous places in Northwest Florida, if not the Universe.

What you may not know, though, is that we are not just famous because of our great food, cold drinks, funny t-shirts and live alligators ( though these things ARE pretty amazing ).

Actually, the main reason that Fudpucker's is famous is because we are really good at making people smile, making people laugh and making people feel at home.

And to do that, our training is all about making people feel welcome - and we are really good at doing that for both our visitors AND our employees.

Our COOKS take center stage when it comes to making people smile as what they create is such a HUGE part of the Fudpucker Experience.

Father Fud has often maintained that the kitchen is like the engine of a ship and you will not get where you want to go unless the engine is running.

That is why we take such great care of our COOKS and other Kitchen Staff. Our COOKS learn how to prepare all sorts of food and with as busy as Fudpucker’s is they get LOTS OF PRACTICE! In fact, you will learn skills that can take you as far in the culinary world as you want to go.

Chef Pierce started here as a COOK 14 years ago and now he is the main man.

  • Of course, in learning to be a good COOK at Fudpucker's, our employees actually develop some incredibly STRONG PEOPLE SKILLS.
  • After someone becomes a Certified COOK at Fudpucker's, regardless of how long they stay, they join an extremely elite team which will always be a source of pride.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must like food especially good food
  • Must be able to smile and laugh (a LOT)
  • Must be willing to learn lots of stuff about Fudpucker's recipes and kitchen operations
  • Must like being part of a team and being a good teammate ( i.e. show up on time, help others, etc. )
  • High School and College degrees are nice, but really not necessary...
  • Must have some English Speaking Skills, but if you are willing to learn the language and teach us yours we are the place for you.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION :

  • Interact with people you've never met before in your life.
  • Know a lot of stuff about Fudpucker's ( and don't worry... we'll teach ya )
  • Be willing to learn how to prepare great food from scratch.
  • Be safe and follow the rules, while still having fun
  • Be willing to help others do the best job they can.
  • Have fun with people ( I know... we said it before, but hey, that's what we do )

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION :

  • Must be able to navigate the crowded kitchen spaces ( and not get lost... )
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs, then up and down again over and over again throughout the day....
  • Must be able to stay on your feet for at least four hours at a time ( without passing out )
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and stand for a while without complaining...
  • Must be able to carry up to 40#s of things ( produce, shrimp fish, etc..)
  • Must walk a lot without tripping or slipping...
  • Must be able to withstand loud noises ( like when someone turns up the jamz in the kitchen ).
  • Must have fun with people ( okay... you get the point )
