Our client is recruiting for a Quality Management System (QMS) Technician. They are a growing company, and we are looking for a candidate that is looking for a growth opportunity and a long term career.
This person will be responsible for the corrective action process, the internal audit process, and the document control process.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain and revise Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions as necessary to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards.
· Facilitate review and disposition of updates to Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
· Train process owners of the QMS procedures and work instructions on the proper content and level of detail in each type of document to ensure consistency across the QMS.
· Create, coordinate, and facilitate all internally issued corrective actions with assignees.
· Assist manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions.
· Verify completed corrective actions are effective in preventing the reoccurrence of the original problem and root causes.
· Track status and issue monthly metrics for internal and external corrective actions for review by the management team.
Perform internal audits and identify quality system improvements to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D quality standards.
Assist Quality staff during QMS audits by customers and external auditors.
Other duties as assigned or required within the Quality function to meet customer or business needs.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience working in a manufacturing company with ISO9001:2015 and AS9100D accreditation.
Experienced user of Unipoint or other Quality software that manages document control, non-conformance reports, and corrective action reports.
· Experience performing root cause analysis using 5-Why, 8D Problem Solving, or Fishbone Diagram methods.
· Experience with QMS audits performed by customers and external auditors.
· Experience with QMS internal audits.
· Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
· Action-oriented and resilient, staying composed and focused under stress. Comfortable with ambiguity and change.
Quality oriented and high attention to detail.
Experienced user of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc.)
