FTS is Hiring a Procurement Manager Near Plano, TX

Job Overview:
As a Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in our home building process by managing all aspects of procurement and vendor relationships. You will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and subcontractors. Maintain strong relationships to secure competitive pricing and quality materials/services.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance to optimize costs without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Material Sourcing: Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for home construction projects, considering cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Budget Compliance: Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with project budgets and financial objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions to project timelines and budgets.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, supply chain management, business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within the construction or home building industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $87,000.00 - $111,000.00 per year
