Frontwave Credit Union is Hiring a Quality Control Specialist Near Oceanside, CA

Overview

The Quality Control Specialist performs review of various department functions to ensure compliance with policy, department procedures and regulations, as applicable. The role holder will conduct ongoing analysis and quality control testing on various processes to identify, document, and report deficiencies, patterns, and trends. May service an expansive and/or diverse array of products/services. Applies working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts and in depth knowledge of team objectives. Understands how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team and how the team coordinate their efforts and resources. May recommend new options to enhance productivity in accordance with guidelines. Able to assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations as well as Credit Union policies and procedures:

  •  Performs quality control on loans, memberships, consumer and business banking products, and other documents.
  •  Reviews activities and related documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business guidelines and credit union policies.
    • Tracks discrepancies and ensures any identified issues are remediated.
  • Identify and suggest remedies for individual and group trends to ensure that regulations, policies and procedures are being followed and remain in compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze results and prepare reporting with insights on root causes, trends, and potential implications. Collaborate with teams by providing actionable feedback.
  • Identify ongoing process improvements, operational gaps and potential remediation steps from review and analysis.
  • Reviews various file maintenance reports.
  • Supports a range of products/services.
  • Requires attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy regarding assigned tasks.
  • Escalates complex issues to higher levels.
  • Assists managers with training team members.
  • Makes procedural recommendations related to process improvements.
  • Reviews quality results and identifies process gaps and helps determine solutions.
  • Communicates regularly with department management to ensure consistency/quality of processes.
  • Applies working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts and in depth knowledge of team goals; and, impacts the business by ensuring the quality of the tasks or services provided.
  • Prepare and present monitoring reports for management based on findings, with recommendations, during quality control reviews.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma and minimum of 3-5 years financial institution experience with a focus on performing quality control/auditing, implementations, new account processes, lending, and/or quality assurance.
