• Verify for accuracy and process entry of time and attendance records. This may include checking and auditing timekeeping records (MJob time) for compliance against established standards
• Monitor and update Federal and State prevailing wage rates in the RMC system
• Manage the preparation, submission, and labor compliance of all certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects
• Prepare CPR packages for clients for verification of correct pay rates
• Process weekly reports for all PW jobs, including upload of CPRs to the DIR website
• Manage and create invoices for training fund payments
• Provide backup support to Payroll Supervisor in his/her absence
• Weekly processing of payroll taxes, including quarterly and annual payroll tax filing
• Working with staffing agencies to provide the correct rates to use for our jobs
• Update existing determinations into the established RMC system as new rates are released; add new pay determinations as they become available
• Handle apprentice requests when applicable; completing forms and submitting to agencies as required
• Apply established knowledge of payroll rules and regulations

• Proven experience in a payroll specialist or payroll assistant role
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
• Excellent attention to detail
• Possesses mathematical and calculation abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Works well independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of various payroll software systems
• Multi-tasker, good time management skills, well organized
• Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality

• Sitting for extended periods (computer/data entry)
• Frequent L/R hand motion (computer/mouse)
• Bending, reaching and lifting (up to 10lbs.)
