Job Summary:
The Lifecycle Services Business Development Leader will be responsible for sales, support, and the development of the Lifecycle Services business within the Industrial Automation Group. This role will work collaboratively with the Rockwell Automation Area Manager, Channel Management, and distributor management to implement the business plan and achieve sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Lifecycle Services portion of the distributor's business plan in coordination with the Rockwell Automation Area Manager, Channel Management, and distributor management.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all communications between Rockwell Automation and the distributor on Lifecycle Services.
- Resolve customer issues to enhance satisfaction.
- Work with the Lifecycle Services Specialist to launch new offerings to sales personnel, including product training, demo equipment competency, and target account identification.
- Ensure the success of promotional programs related to Lifecycle Services from Rockwell Automation.
- Actively promote Lifecycle Services during local trade shows, customer seminars, and other distributor promotions to increase customer awareness.
- Provide support and training to the inside and outside sales force to enable them to effectively sell Lifecycle Services.
- Stay updated on technical and commercial information, new products, promotions, and provide feedback to the Rockwell Automation Area Manager as needed.
- Collaborate with account managers and fellow specialists to close account opportunities through sales teaming efforts.
- Communicate the value-add of assigned products in competitive situations.
- Identify and explore new markets for emerging product technologies.
- Maintain accurate records of targets, opportunities, activities, and projects in relevant business tools.
- Responsible for other ancillary products and services that enhance the distributor's market position.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or a combination of education and experience.
- Comfortable engaging in sales discussions with managers and above.
- Knowledge of market conditions and ability to administer marketing and promotion programs.
- Strong motivational and support skills for outside sales team.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to actively contribute to the sales and support team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record.
- Must adhere to vendor guidelines, compliance, and code of ethics, including but not limited to Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Eaton.
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Approximately 50% of the time will be spent traveling to industrial locations.
