Frog Point Therapy is Hiring a Mental Health Counselor Near Washington, DC

Frog Point Therapy (FPT) is a private practice located in Foggy Bottom, Washington, DC that offers mental health treatment to adults aged 18 learning to work through anxiety, depression, ADHD, interpersonal or family of origin relationships, trauma, and career issues. We treat individuals and couples and have several therapists on staff that are certified in EMDR. FPT’s philosophy of practice integrates western psychotherapeutic approaches, eastern contemplative practices, and modern research in neuroscience and adult development. We also place a heavy emphasis on counselor development via individual and group supervision, post-master's training programs, and staff retreats/seminars. We are looking for a recent graduate or licensed therapist who has interest, experience, or expertise in working the following populations, modalities, and/or presenting issues: Adult ADHD, couples and family counseling, and DBT.

Qualifications:

  • LGPC/LPC; LGSW/LCSW; LMFT (or pending within 1 to 2 months)
  • Practicum/internship or professional experience working with adults aged 18

Skills:

  • Mastery of counseling micro-skills and clinical documentation
  • Additional training or experience in one of the following areas: couples/family therapy, DBT, or Adult ADHD treatment.
  • Skill with managing person-of-the-therapist
  • Open to feedback and training
  • Punctual, responsible, and motivated

Pay: $90.00 - $140.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
