Fresca Mexican Foods is a premier manufacturer of heat-pressed, hand-stretched flour and corn tortillas. Our SQF certified world-class facility is located in Caldwell, Idaho. For nearly 40 years, Fresca has been manufacturing and supplying our customers with the highest quality products using the finest ingredients and time-tested formulations, manufacturing processes, and freezing techniques. Today, Fresca produces about 3 million tortillas per day, employs over 150 full-time employees and serves customers world-wide. 

Work shifts: 5:30AM to 5:30PM, typically 2 days on, 2 days off. There is voluntary overtime! Pay periods are Sunday through Saturday. 

Production Line Operator

Position Summary:

The Production Line Operator is responsible for running a production line safely and efficiently. The Production Operator will be fully trained to be able to run a full line, from dough mixing to tortilla packaging, and will be responsible for the overall performance of the line. This position plays an important role in our operations and has a direct impact on our company’s metrics.

The responsibility and reward for each Operator is determined by the tier classification (T1, T2, and T3).

Qualified Operators will participate in a performance bonus plan in addition to their base compensation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED
• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing plant as an operator
• Previous experience working in a bakery or tortilla manufacturing facility
• Mechanical inclination
• Experience with Good Manufacturing (GMP) and/or Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices 

Physical Demands:

• Light to moderate physical effort is required
• Must be able to lift 30lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally 
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach and move around machinery for long periods of time
• Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and forearms
• Must be able to work in varying working climates, i.e., temperatures may vary from very hot to very cold
