Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly close, subledgers and related account reconciliations primarily for operational-related balance sheet accounts in accordance with internal controls and US GAAP requirements:
• Operational jobs and internal order accounting (SAP WBS’s)
  • Fixed assets
  • Inventory
  • Prepaids
  • Bank reconciliations
• Partner with Financial reporting, operations, FP&A and other support teams on application of any new technical GAAP or complex transactions to functionally apply the recommended accounting treatment
• Responsible for the training, retention, development, growth, and management of talent
• Manage and review balance reconciliations at both a consolidated level and from subsidiaries
• Prepare the reporting & related accounting entries for certain items such as event commissions and incentives, and the large events report for leadership review
• Be actively involved in the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, providing documentation to auditors and working to resolve questions and issues
• Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to business partners and leadership for responsible areas
• Assist in the implementation of software and other accounting initiatives

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience in a lead role.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Hyperion experience preferred.
• Strong word, excel, power point and modeling skills required.
• Global accounting experience preferred.
