The Frankie's World Summer Camp Counselor supervises daytime campers ages 7-11 who have special medical needs.

Duties:

• Ensure the safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being of our day campers.
• Maintain a schedule and attendance record for camp participants.
• Create lesson plans for daily activities organized around weekly themes.
• Facilitate and lead various small group activities based on lesson plans.
• Implement developmentally appropriate practices (redirection, hygiene, self-care skills.)
• Use strategies and techniques that suit the special needs of each individual child.
• Facilitate learning and play throughout the day.
• Collaborate in a classroom setting with nursing staff who monitor the health of the campers.

Requirements:

• At least (1) year of childcare experience.
• Can successfully work and collaborate with others.
• Possess patience, understanding and care when engaging with children and families.
• Communication and time management skills.
• Certification or degree in early childhood education or special education a plus but not a requirement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
