Job Summary:
The Preowned Sales Director at Frank Kent Motor Company in Corsicana, Texas is a full-time, management role in the auto industry. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the dealership's preowned vehicle sales department, including setting sales goals, developing strategies to drive sales, and leading a team of sales professionals. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase preowned vehicle sales and profitability
- Set sales goals and quotas for the preowned sales team
- Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing decisions to maintain a diverse and attractive selection of vehicles
- Train, motivate, and lead the preowned sales team to achieve their goals and objectives
- Maintain a strong understanding of the preowned vehicle market, including prices, trends, and consumer preferences
- Work closely with the marketing department to develop and implement effective advertising and promotional campaigns
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including proper vehicle sales documentation
- Create a positive and customer-centric sales environment
- Act as a liaison between the preowned sales team and other departments, such as finance and service, to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Continuously monitor and analyze sales reports to identify areas for improvement and take action to address any issues
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments and provide recommendations for improvement to senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry
- Previous management experience preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of sales techniques and strategies
- Ability to analyze data and make sound business decisions
- In-depth knowledge of the preowned vehicle market
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various sales software programs
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
