GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Bilingual Teacher Assistant will work with the preschool-age children in the on-campus preschool classrooms, Child Development Lab and Early Childhood Center, to assist our preschool teachers in Spanish, Portuguese, or another language, support learning of dual language learners, translate written materials, and assist with communications with families, school officials, and other personnel. The Bilingual Teacher Assistant will support the creation of an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that ensures equal opportunities for children to play, learn, and grow together.

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Bilingual Teacher Assistant will assist educators with classroom routines, such as meeting times, meals, and outdoor play and promote child-centered, standards-based learning opportunities that celebrate our diverse student population. Other duties may include preparation of materials, planning learning activities, and preparing videos in multiple languages.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Bilingual Teacher Assistant (contractor position) will work no more than 18 hours per week. A work schedule is made to meet the centers' needs and the applicant's schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

This is a part-time non-benefited, contract position, not to exceed 18 hours per week. The scheduled hours are flexible based on the needs of the preschool classroom. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.
Framingham State University conducts background record checks according to the Massachusetts Early Education and Care requirements, which include Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI), Department of Children and Families (DCF) checks relative to prior criminal convictions and pending cases, Sex Offender Registration Information (SORI) checks relative to prior sexual offenses committed as an adult or juvenile, and finger print checks prior to an offer of employment for all positions. Framingham State University requires specific written authorization to conduct background record checks. Failure to provided such authorization shall preclude your application from receiving further consideration.
