Role
Upgrade is seeking a passionate, experienced product marketer, to join our talented Marketing team. Reporting into the SVP of Marketing, you’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact across go-to-market, strategy, product roadmap and more.
You’ll serve as a voice of the customer, feeding customer learnings across the organization. You’ll partner closely with other stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Operations, Data Science, Engineering and Research to effectively educate audiences on the value of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies and organizational coordination for feature launches for Personal Loans and Auto Loans
  • Synthesize consumer insights and competitive research to identify and prioritize user needs by deeply understanding our consumers, product and experience to build data-driven, useful insights for the Product team
  • Help to craft the product roadmap, developing the positioning and messaging for new features and experiences, and building the go-to-market strategy
  • Spearhead experimentation plans to increase conversion, cross sell and lifetime value
  • Work with the Lifecycle Marketing team in the creation of marketing campaigns guiding the development of product specific creative and engaging content that our consumers need and want
  • Develop cross sell and upsell strategies to increase awareness and retention of our consumers across product lines
  • In this role, you will partner with a collaborative cross-functional team that includes counterparts in Product Management, Marketing, Product Design, Data Science, Engineering, Research, and operations to meet shared objectives and key results

Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in Product Marketing
  • Deep experience in consumer products
  • Proven experience managing product launches, determining product-market fit, and working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills—both written and oral
  • Very comfortable with data: You just go get the data you need and can whip it into an informative story with no help; using the data to make decisions and drive growth
  • Outstanding at market research: You know your market, customers, and competition better than anyone, and you integrate this information into your growth strategies
  • You're biased toward action, a great collaborator and master simplifier
  • You never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery
  • Incredible at articulating the essence of products and the value they create. You can make the most sophisticated products exceptionally simple for consumers to understand
  • You can develop a strong messaging hierarchy, effective content strategy and shine at copywriting
