Family Offices Director, Investment (FOS)

Four Squared Solutions is seeking a Family Offices Director, Investment (FOS)professional for Full Time opportunity with a located in the Baltimore, Maryland area. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Office Director.. This is a key leadership role.

Overview

The Director of Family Office Services (FOS) will focus on providing ultra-high net worth families with reporting, liquidity management, Tax and Trust & Estate planning, and the myriad of different requests by the families. This individual will manage a team of direct reports, including all the standard duties that come with management of a team, as well as be an expert in developing and maintaining client relationships. The Director will often think “outside the box” to handle sophisticated complexities as they may arise with the families. Communication skills and proactive thinking are crucial in this role. This role heads a team of 7-10 direct reports.

Oversee a team of up to ten people in the Family Office group, including but not limited to:

• Develop a deep understanding of the clients’ financial picture, which often includes trusts and other related entities.
• Monitor cash flow activity, payroll, tax payments, and insurance policies.
• Maintain organized and accurate supporting documentation of all transactions within a defined filing system.
• Comprehensive bill-pay and investment tracking
• Assisting with special accounting and financial statement projects as necessary
• Reporting, Create and maintain personal financial statements in QuickBooks.
• Perform financial statement consolidations.
• Various one-off projects for clients such as cash flow projections or other customized reports.
• Assemble and organize information for tax preparation.
• Tax and Trust & Estate Planning.
• Oversee ad hoc internal accounting, team management and tax projects as needed.
• Ensuring all executed documents are retained and filed in an organized manner.
• Be a lead and key member of the team in developing staff in understanding family office structures, trust and estate planning, and philanthropic planning.
• Collaborate effectively with staff and managers to support the firm’s thoughtful and proactive approach to family office services.
• Successfully manage and deepen client relationships and independently execute and deliver against client and internal deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned.

Min Experience:

• At least 7-10 years of experience in a similar, accounting-focused role within a Family Office setting
• Family office experience strongly desired
• CPA ,CFA, CFP, or CMA candidate preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance or Accounting, Masters Preferred and/or equivalent experience

Pay: $250,000.00 - $275,000.00 per year
