Foundry is Hiring a Video Content Producer Near San Francisco, CA

Overview

Foundry is looking for a full-time Video Content Producer who will be a public face for PCWorld video platforms, such as YouTube and TikTok, and drive engagement with our growing audience of PC builders and hardware enthusiasts.

This individual will be responsible for covering various PC hardware in video form and release it in a range of content types including live, pre-recorded, and short form. As a part of the PCWorld video team, the role will be responsible for hardware testing/coverage in order to provide the audience with valuable information. Responsibilities

  • Work with lead video director and others on the team to brainstorm ideas for weekly videos with the PCWorld team.
  • Research and/or test PC hardware/software for coverage.
  • Shoot and edit videos with professional level hardware and software.
  • Through a strong organizational process, ensure all videos are engaging, with a cohesive narrative, a well-honed theme, and a focused story arc.
  • Stay up to date on a wide range of technology news and topics with help from our editorial team and outside experts.
  • Work with the rest of the video and PCWorld team to ensure a consistent message, tone, and coverage style that works for our audience.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years experience in video production including live production, cinematography, lighting, grip work, NLE workflows, large file management, and more.
  • Strong base level of knowledge of the tech industry and Windows-based PC hardware/software including PC building.
  • Eager to learn new materials and passionate about bringing information to the public.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills while working with a large team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while working in our studio and remotely.
  • Capability to quickly learn about PC products to formulate accurate and useful opinions in video form
  • Work a hybrid schedule (minimum 2 days a week ) in our San Franciso office/studio. Work schedule is flexible and dependent on workload and current release schedules
  • Ability to travel to trade shows and vendor meetings in domestic and foreign locations

IDG is committed to paying our team equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process taking into account the experience, education, certifications and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated team members, as well as employer-verified region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. At IDG we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. Expected salary, dependent upon experience and location is between $60,000 and $80,000 which includes base and bonus (if applicable).
