CUMULUS MEDIA | SAN FRANCISCO is hiring a part time Social Media Content Producer. This position will have an emphasis on visually aligning KNBR with the latest social media trends; where a strong understanding of various social media platforms and how to optimize content for different audiences and drive results is key.

CUMULUS | San Francisco is home to six of the Bay Area's favorite radio stations –KNBR AM (680/1050) & KNBR-FM (104.5), KSAN (107.7 The Bone), 810 The Spread and 560 KSFO. Our award-winning stations feature Classic Rock on The Bone; Legendary News and Talk Programming on KSFO; The best bet on sports with 810 The Spread; and The Sports Leader, KNBR. The Social Media Content Producer position is a full-time, in office role. This position will be responsible for content creation, trend analysis, fan/listener engagement, and brand promotion that is unique yet entertaining to each platform. The producer will need to be able to create all media formats (video, static images, gif/memes) in ways that are best optimized per each network. They will also be responsible for creating video forward content that aligns with team goals and KPIs. Analyzing engagement data, trendspotting, community growth and strategic planning is a primary focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior management on daily content, company strategy, operations and research/analysis
  • Stay updated on video trends, technologies, and social media platform updates to implement innovative strategies for maximum impact and audience engagement
  • Manage the end-to-end video production process, including scripting, filming, editing, and post-production tasks while ensuring timely delivery of content
  • Build effective content pillars that develop long-term audience and drive results to maximize story/post reach across all platforms
  • Create and collaborate on social-forward series that will elevate and expand the brand against key pillars
  • Support the team with planning and project management for content initiatives
  • Employ proper news judgment and sports knowledge to adequately provide coverage of Bay Area sports teams, local news and music events
  • Solution based proactivity in advancing department goals
  • This position is in-office, five days a week

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • B.A. in Journalism or 3 years experience in the field (specifically Sports)
  • Demonstrated ability to write engaging social media copy across a range of topics and for a variety of audiences
  • Experience with established and emerging social media platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter
  • Strong interest in viral marketing and social media trends
  • Proven experience in video production, preferably in a social media or digital marketing context, with a strong portfolio highlighting successful video campaigns and content creation
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate concepts into compelling visual narratives
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Premier), Microsoft Office, Google Suite
  • Knowledge of video production, including DSLR cameras and audio recording desired
  • Video livestream (software including OBS and/or VMix, and Restream) understanding a plus!
  • Independent, entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate project needs and timelines clearly and effectively
  • High-energy, company-first, positive attitude; must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and work on projects collaboratively
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record
