Founders is looking for an engaging and passionate individual to join the Human Resources Department as a Recruitment Coordinator located at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC. The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for conducting full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.

This position is primarily located on-site at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC, with periodic travel throughout Founders' market areas (upstate and midlands of South Carolina; Charlotte, NC; Monroe, NC). Remote opportunities are not available. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating interviews, conducting pre-employment assessments, and managing the hiring process. Additionally, this individual will maintaining applicant records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of successfully recruiting candidates in a fast-paced environment.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  1. Post open positions internally and on the credit union’s website. Utilize various sourcing strategies to identify and attract diverse, top talent including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and employee referrals.
  2. Review resumes and applications to assess candidates’ qualifications and job fit.
  3. Conduct initial phone screenings and interviews to evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  4. Administer pre-employment testing (basic skills & behavioral assessments, credit history review) including travel within the Founders market areas to assist with interviewing and selection efforts as needed.
  5. Schedule interviews with hiring managers to facilitate the selection process.
  6. Prepare and present offer letters to successful candidates, as well as notify candidates not selected. Coordinate start dates with the New Employee Orientation schedule and Training Department. Coordinate pre-employment drug screens and background checks for completion.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and preferences.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Utilize the ATS to its maximum potential. Ensure all candidate information and recruitment metrics are accurately recorded and analyzed for continuous improvement in our recruitment processes.
  9. Collaborate with Marketing to develop compelling recruitment content and campaigns to attract top talent.
  10. Represent Founders at career fairs, community events, and networking events to expand talent pool.
  11. Establish and maintain strong recruiting contacts with market area colleges, universities, technical colleges, and other organizations to reach potential employees.
  12. Update and maintain Staffing Report daily, as well as monthly reports including staffing summary, hiring analysis, and other reports as needed.
  13. Serve as back up for New Employee Orientation.
  14. Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA. Employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality.
  15. All other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or business-related field required. HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR, or SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential) preferred.
  • 2 – 5 years’ proven experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist required.
  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and candidate assessment methods.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with an emphasis on tact, diplomacy, and a customer-service-oriented approach with both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in ATS, HRIS and other recruitment software tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to travel to our branch and office locations, as needed.

Candidate must be available Monday - Thursday 8 am - 5pm; Friday 8 am - 6pm.
