Foundation is currently seeking applicants for the position of Superintendent in the Southern California Region.
The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, direct and supervise all aspects of the field construction to ensure that all projects are completed on schedule, per specifications, and within budget.
Requirements of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: implement and maintain company safety program on all projects; conduct, document, and file site safety inspections for company records; proven leadership and supervision of field personnel; scheduling all crew and equipment; updating of daily equipment and project personnel requirements; understanding of common means and methods of heavy civil construction; ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and constructability of projects; assist Project Managers with site specific construction plans; conducting financial and production analysis with Project Managers; assist Estimators with production values and take part in bid reviews; collaboration with suppliers, subcontractors, field agencies, general contractors, and/or owner representatives; approval of all time, material, equipment and related services which are charged to the project; strong verbal and written communication skills; professionalism and integrity; strong creative thinking and decision making capability; the ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects; ability to recognize leadership qualities amongst the field personnel and maximize their talent through education and mentorship: and three years of prior superintendent experience or equivalent. Prior experience with deep foundations is inclusive of, but not limited to; drilled shaft applications such as CIDH, caissons, drilled piers, all large and small diameter under wet and dry methods, auger cast piling, shoring / multi-level (cantilever and tied-back), ground improvement, micropiles (structural and power industry), helical piles, stone columns, soil nail / shotcrete, and driven pile, is a significant plus.
Candidates that retain the ability to utilize the following software and technologies will stand out, but not required (training available).
· Efficient and effective computer skills.
· HCSS Heavyjob.
· Bluebeam.
· iPad or related tablet experience.
· Scheduling – P6, Timberline, MS Project, or equivalent.
Foundation’s diversity within the deep foundation industry requires occasional travel, the SoCal Division covers an area that extends from the Southern California Border, north to Bakersfield, while servicing Arizona and Nevada. Candidate's experience and skill sets may also be required for specific projects in the NorCal Region.
