Summary of Position

The Sourcing Director will be responsible for leading the implementation of strategies to drive performance for over 900M in annual direct and indirect spend. They will execute sourcing activities and special projects across multiple categories; identifying improvement opportunities, and driving the procurement team to achieve quality, service, and cost objectives in line with enterprise-level initiatives.

Responsibilities

Create and implement an enterprise-wide annual cost savings program that will directly affect financial results and growth plans.

• Collaborate with all business stakeholders to achieve savings targets, improve supplier performance, minimize supply chain risk, maximize supplier collaboration and innovation, etc.
• Develop sourcing strategies (including RFI/RFP, negotiations, etc.) to drive sustainable competitive advantages and concentrate spend with key suppliers in support of business unit strategies.
• Support Category Teams in identifying future sourcing opportunities and executing procurement improvement programs.
• Gather raw data and provide deep analytical support in spend profile development, RFIs, RFPs, supplier proposals, and negotiations.
• Prepare performance metrics and ad hoc reports for the procurement team and internal business partners.
• Monitor activities against department objectives and submit performance reports to management.
• Develop and implement a supplier relationship management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals, improvement initiatives and recognition programs.
• Implement procurement best practices and lead change management efforts to continuously increase spend under management and integrate sourcing into business unit decision making.
• Ensure appropriate audit trails are embedded in procurement processes, for internal audit and performance management purposes.
• Train direct and indirect reports on strategic sourcing concepts and drive adoption of sourcing leading practices (e.g., TCO, should cost modeling, reverse auctions)

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• MBA (or equivalent advanced degree) preferred
• Experience with RFPs, reverse auctions, e-sourcing, contract administration and framework agreements
• Experience with high-value, high-volume purchasing, and contract negotiation experience across a range of services and commodities (preference given to seafood and other proteins)
• Demonstrated leadership, change management and project management skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Access, Project, Visio, etc. optional)
