The Sanitation Supervisor serves as a member of the Fortune Fish & Gourmet’s operations team. The incumbent’s key responsibility is to lead Fortune’s sanitation process and ensure the company’s facility and equipment are maintained at the highest levels of cleanliness. This is achieved by working effectively across multiple levels within the organization to implement appropriate sanitation solutions. This is a working supervisor position.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 1:00pm-9:00pm, Fridays approximately 9am-4pm
Description
· Supervises sanitation staff including; hiring, training, performance management, discipline, etc.
· Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in matters related to facility sanitation including, but not limited to; identifying issues, implementing corrective actions, process assessment, maintaining Master Sanitation Schedule, KPI development, environmental testing, etc.
· Develop and maintain required documentation in conjunction with regulatory requirements.
· Ensures cleanliness of overall facility, production area and equipment by actively participating in and leading others in the cleaning process.
· Works closely with operations to ensure a clean environment, resulting in a quality product.
· Follows company policies to ensure food safety and quality. Continuously works to maintain and improve the sanitation process at Fortune.
· Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and internal/ external customer service.
· Identify and remedy any potential contamination issues immediately.
· Adheres to all established GMP procedures and guidelines during the execution of job.
· Ensures cleaning supply closet/room is orderly and clean at all time.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all Fortune employees.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
· Experience: 2-5 years of sanitation leadership in a food processing environment Exposure to proteins including; meat, poultry or seafood processing preferred.
· Education: High School Diploma
· Work Ethic: Demonstrated desire to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
· Initiative: Take initiative and be self-motivated; looking for opportunities to improve Quality & Food Safety system and product quality.
· Communications: English verbal communication skills. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
· Any combination of the above criteria will also be considered.
