We are searching for a proficient Senior Software QA Manager with a focus on automation testing to lead our Quality Assurance teams. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in healthcare software systems, regulatory compliance, and proficiency in implementing automation testing frameworks. This role entails managing a team of QA professionals, driving automation initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch software solutions.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of software QA engineers, emphasizing automation testing proficiency. Provide guidance, support, and regular feedback to foster the professional growth of team members. Cultivate a collaborative and innovative culture within the QA team, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
Automation Testing Strategy: Develop and execute automation testing strategies, frameworks, and best practices tailored to the healthcare domain. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive testing tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for seamless deployment.
Quality Assurance Process: Define and enforce quality standards, processes, and procedures throughout the software development lifecycle. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FDA guidelines, and other healthcare industry regulations. Implement rigorous testing methodologies to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with software quality and compliance. Proactively address potential quality issues and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve them promptly. Implement measures to safeguard data security, privacy, and confidentiality in compliance with industry standards.
Automation Testing Execution: Lead the creation and execution of automated test scripts, test suites, and test scenarios to validate software functionality and performance. Utilize automation testing tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve test coverage. Monitor and analyze test results, identifying areas for improvement and optimization in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
Experience (Minimum Required):
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience (3 years) in a senior QA management role, with a focus on automation testing.
Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
Experience and expertise with TDD/BDD and microservices architecture.
Experience and expertise in technical/programming skills: Java, Python, C# or equivalent.
Good understanding of database systems (both relational and NoSQL) and strong practical knowledge of SQL.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Advanced certifications in automation testing, project management, or related areas.
Experience in leading diverse and cross-functional teams in a global setting.
Experience in a CRO or healthcare-related industry.
