This leadership role will work directly with the SVP of Finance Transformation and others across the Finance organization to evolve the strategy that will shape the Finance function of the future. Our business is rapidly growing, and so increased agility is paramount to allow adaptation to a changing environment.

You will lead end to end project execution of key strategic change projects that are part of a multi-year Finance Transformation program that oversees the implementation of the future Finance technology architecture, identifies process improvements, and evaluates the impact to the organization. This role will help identify and execute transformation initiatives that increase operational efficiency across Finance and related functions and support ongoing efforts already underway.

What you will do:

Work with the SVP Finance Transformation to:

• Lead efforts to enhance existing or implement new systems, improve processes and identify best practices and help realign the Finance organization to the future state
• Drive project management and execution of key strategic change initiatives across the Finance organization
• Demonstrate thought leadership in designing future state Finance technology architecture and processes with an emphasis on multi-valuation investment accounting systems
• Communicate directly to key stakeholders to understand the impact of Finance Transformation and lead change management
• Collaborate across Finance, IT, business and other key functions to ensure requirements and dependencies are addressed
• Provide input and steering of program and project level governance and communication
• Escalate key transformation execution risks and help identify and take mitigating actions
• Other related duties as business needs emerge 

What you will have:

• University Degree required with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience within insurance/reinsurance industry (preferred) and multi-valuation reporting
• Wide-ranging experience in Finance transformation, project management and hands on Finance experience, with a preference for Investment Accounting, Life and Annuity financial reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis or Capital Management
• Experience in mapping out financial and IT processes and controls
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Empowered self-starter with an ability to effectively lead and collaborate across teams and address change management challenges
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to logically structure issues and determine recommended solutions
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
• Travel required; while this role has the option to work from home, this role is based in Nashville and the ideal candidate will be required to physically be in the office from time-to-time
