The Quality Technician will work within the company policies and customer guidelines to manage the quality control and assurance aspects of production and testing, making recommendations for changes as appropriate and send to a Quality Engineer or Quality Manager for review. They will be responsible for the application of customer and quality requirements, including updating procedures, work instructions, and forms and reviewing customer specifications. They will design and refine methods for process control, process improvement, conduct analysis, design test equipment and complete research to determine effectiveness of methods, working with the Quality Manager or Quality Engineer on change implementation. They will participate in internal, external, customer, and regulatory quality audits, act as a communication liaison to Quality Management regarding quality metrics, quality problems, trends, losses, and recommendations for quality improvement. The Quality Technician will investigate customer returns including root cause determination and corrective action implementation, including direct customer contact through conference calls and on-site visits.
