Role DescriptionThe Learning and Development Manager, reporting to the Chief People Officer, plays a pivotal role in crafting and executing learning and talent development strategies across Form Energy. This includes designing, implementing, and evaluating various learning programs as well as leading the design of a learning infrastructure. This visionary leader will apply their expertise in creating programs as well as in building key partnerships with content creators, design teams and learning technology partners. This position offers a hybrid remote work option with corporate offices located adjacent to our new advanced manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV. The scope of this role covers a rapidly growing workforce that is primarily based in Somerville (Boston), MA, Berkeley, CA and the Pittsburgh, PA/Weirton, WV region.
This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 in Weirton, West Virginia. Relocation assistance is available.
Collaborate with HR leadership to establish a robust learning framework for Form, facilitating rapid development of education and training capabilities including certifying content creators across Form.
Work with functional leaders and HR/People Partners to identify training needs, employing advanced learning tools for a highly technical workforce.
Evaluate and choose training vendors, content partners, and software to enhance services.
Develop leadership programs for managers, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
Create interactive training materials using adult learning principles, including e-learning modules and presentations.
Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new methodologies and technologies into training practices.
Assess training effectiveness through metrics and feedback, striving for continuous enhancement.
Champion a learning culture and lead the communications and marketing plan to engage the workforce on learning and career development opportunities
Develop skill matrices with business partners to support internal mobility and certifications.
Oversee training compliance processes to ensure accuracy and accessibility of documentation.
Leads, mentors, and develops the Learning and workforce development team and ensures the department administration (budgets, goal setting, performance management, hiring, etc.) is managed effectively.
Collaborate with other departments, business leaders, and external partners to understand their needs, build analytical decision support tools, and align Learning and Development to support the organization's goals. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Master's degree in education, instructional design, organizational development, or related field of study
8 years of progressive experience in learning and development including at least 2 years of team management
Experience designing learning across a technical and manufacturing workforce using advanced learning technologies
Demonstrated ability to drive technology innovation and integration in a fast paced environment
Ability to create clear presentations and written communication
Comfortable in fast-paced environments with excellent time management skills
Experience managing a learning management system (LMS) including the pathway to creating interfaces with HRIS tools, performing quality testing, and understanding of how to project manage LMS update with the vendor partner
Ability to handle confidential data and work independently with minimal supervision
Effective communication skills with all levels of employees, including senior management
