Role DescriptionThe Senior Employee Relations Specialist supports the alignment of business goals with employee needs. They manage HR policies and programs, resolving conflicts and providing guidance on employee performance enablement. This role also administers key programs such as positive employee relations training and communications, HR compliance oversight, unemployment hearing facilitation and support to employee listening tools.
This position is a hybrid role based out of our Weirton, WV office. The office is located adjacent to our new advanced manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV. The scope of this role covers a rapidly growing workforce that is primarily based in Somerville (Boston), MA, Berkeley, CA and the Pittsburgh, PA/Weirton, WV region.
What you'll do:Collaborates with Form's Legal Department to design essential infrastructure for workplace investigations, internal grievance management processes and other processes as Form Energy expands its employee base
Function as a neutral resource to address and resolve employee grievances and complex employee relations issues while supporting managers to foster a positive employee environment
Lead complex employee-related issues by addressing employee-related complaints, conducting investigations, making recommendations, and bringing those issues to complete resolution
Administer unemployment, EEOC claims, ADA accommodation requests and other employment matters.
Consult with management in instances where HR policies may need further interpretation and address HR inquiries on policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with state posting requirements
Collaborate to design, maintain and deliver positive employee relations or compliance training programs
Administers HR compliance items such as handbooks, personnel files, and other documentation requirements
Build and maintain employee listening tools such as hotlines, surveys, focus groups and other tools to ensure two-way communication is fully integrated into the work environment and support employee engagement
Analyzes employee relations trends and data to identify areas for improvement
Function as a People Partner when needed for either interim assignments or to collaboratively help resolve a complex issue within the business
Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on employee related matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures
Perform other assignments and projects as needed and directed by the Senior People Partner to meet business needs
Minimum five years of HR experience within employee relations or as a Generalist or Business Partner
Proficient in conflict management, investigations, negotiation, and HR regulations
Familiarity with Wage & Hour, FLSA, and state and federal ADA laws
Competence in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and in pulling data from HRIS
Multi-state experience preferred
Unemployment administration experience preferred
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to address business needs proactively
Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service
