Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. Responsibilities: - Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medication under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare professional - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature - Provide companionship and emotional support to clients - Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques - Help with meal preparation and feeding - Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment - Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments - Assist with childcare duties as needed - Support clients receiving hospice care Qualifications: - Previous experience in personal care or related field preferred - Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles - Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Compassionate and patient demeanor - Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients' privacy - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for home care assignments) - Must be able to pass a background check Note: Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn.
