Full time dental assistant for endodontics (root canal) specialty office. Start date is middle of May 2024. Dental or healthcare experience is preferred, but not required. If you're motivated, we will consider your application. Work hours are Mon-Thursday from 7:00 AM to 3 or 4 PM, and 2-3 Fridays per month from 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM. For those without experience, if you are willing to put in a few hours of paid training, we will help you obtain a State of Michigan dental x-ray certification, and also get you up to date on OSHA and infection control processes. This is a great way to get your foot in the dental world and establish a nice, stable career for yourself. This can be a long term position for the right individual. Duties include: greeting and seating patients, assisting chair side with dental procedures, taking x-rays, sterilizing instruments, setting up and cleaning/disinfecting treatment rooms, and some general office cleaning which is split among the staff. We have a very professional and low stress office environment, and our working hours are set up so you can still have a great work/life balance (rarely have to work past 4 PM); never work any weekends or evenings; have a couple Fridays off per month for longer weekends. Benefits include: paid time off, *PAID LUNCH BREAKS*, optional retirement plan with employer match, paid holidays, and uniform allowance. Typical hours are 35-39 hours per week, depending on if we work Friday or not. This is a really nice position for those looking for something stable and long term.
