Ford & Sweeney Support Services is Hiring an Intermediate Document Control Analyst Near Houston, TX

INTERMEDIATE DOCUMENT CONTROL ANALYST

The is a CONTRACT POSITION for our client in the oil and industry in DOWN TOWN Houston, TX.

Our Project Services department is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business and we are expanding our presence in Mexico to support to our Organization.

We are looking for our Field Document Control who has knowledge, experience and good leadership skills and understand the overall scope and impact of document control, project information management and collaboration. You must work collaboratively with all project stakeholders to manage project information and quickly change focus while maintaining attention to detail. You should also be familiar and fluent in electronic collaboration and archiving solutions such as FileNet, Email Manager, SharePoint, iRIMS and Open Text and must be able to comfortably relay document control and information management to a wide audience.

The Responsibility

  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and practices associated with information and record management.
  • Develop the day-to-day activities of the project’s Document Control team.
  • Provide direction, guidance and training to project Document Control team and project team to ensure a consistent and effective approach is applied across the project with respect to managing information.
  • Develop, maintain and support the project’s overall Document Management Plan, processes and procedures.
  • Develop Document Control practices and procedures for the field office and work with field staff on implementation.
  • Assist team members to meet project/initiative, schedule and quality on all requirements pertaining to Document Management best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to manage and protect their information.

Minimum qualifications

  • 3 years of direct Document Control experience on large projects.
  • Successful application of business analysis and project management skills.
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of information technologies related to records, document, and collaboration management systems.
  • Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor delivery as required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to work under pressure and self-motivate towards competing deadlines.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel.
  • SharePoint knowledge and Electronic Data Management System (EDMS) skills.

Qualifications

  • Written, verbal, presentation and electronic communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the Project Controls and Project Management organization effectively.
  • Large scale construction project management or engineering experience is considered an asset.
  • Open Text, FileNet, iRIMS, Excel and SharePoint experience required.
  • Experience with file management and digital information management.

Education: Post - Secondary

Experience: 3 to 10 years
