Position Summary

The Forcura Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of the company’s products and technology projects. The Senior IT Project Manager will work primarily with the Product, Engineering and Client Experience teams to provide project planning and management for prioritized company initiatives. This team member will ensure that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget. The Senior IT Project Manager will be a self-starter who can manage and prioritize multiple work streams, and possesses excellent communication and analytical skills. 

Job Duties

• Determine and define clear deliverables and roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
• Manage projects with expansive enterprise complexity and scope, often with critical stakeholder interaction
• Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all technical resources are actively working toward established milestones
• Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
• Develop project plans with milestones (i.e. iterative deliveries) to ensure scope, business value, stakeholders, cost, estimated timelines, risks and constraints are understood by delivery team
• Ensure that progress updates and milestones are documented and presented transparently and in a timely manner to appropriate organization leaders
• Remove team level impediments and clear the path for effective delivery of value to customers; escalate when appropriate
• Share best practices to empower teams to work toward measurable improvement resulting in more effective delivery process
• Own the project management process including managing all project management tools
• Develop, configure, and maintain customized Jira workflows, fields, screens, and dashboards.
• Stay current with Atlassian product updates, new features, and best practices.
• Train users on Jira and Confluence functionality and best practices.
• Build an expert understanding of company product and user experience, highlighting ability to identify issues and opportunities
• Develop and/or contribute to product use cases, to help define features and functionality
• Assist in documenting, implementing and training staff on new products and features
• Assist in triage, investigation and resolution of product issues
• Provide mentorship and guidance to project managers, business analysts and other members of the team.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems or related discipline or equivalent work experience
• 4 years professional business experience as a project manager in an agile environment strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships successfully in a cross-functional team environment is critical for this position
• Experience in requirements gathering, product development, and testing preferred
• Well organized and able to handle multiple assignments and responsibilities with a strong sense of ownership
• Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
• Professional Project Management Certification, Agile Engineering, and/or Lean Process Management certification from an accredited institution preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, methods and tools
• Extensive experience with JIRA
• Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
• Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams

Work Environment

• This role reports into Forcura’s Jacksonville, FL, offices.
