**About the Opportunity:**

The Fonterra Group IT has an ambition of being a globally digitised Co-operative with the mandate to create and deliver IT strategies that will drive the implementation of Fonterras strategic direction and growth plan globally- through simplification, global integration, agility and performance.

The Functional Design Lead is responsible for providing business and architectural design expertise to the business to truly maximise value, aligning our strategy to business needs while advising and governing technical solutions. This involves setting standards and reviewing functional designs to ensure they deliver an effective translation of business requirements.

As Functional Design Lead Retail, you will work closely with a range of architects, functional consultants, business analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure we have a strong technical architecture and solution designs for the future. Not only will you be the subject matter expert across our IS Retail solutions, youll also bring innovative, strategic thinking to the table and easily identify how our platforms can perform better to improve the capability of our toolset.

**Other key responsibilities will include:**

* Collaborate across enterprise architecture & business teams to create architecture roadmaps and reference architectures.

* Provide business & functional design expertise to drive improvements across Retail

* Define opportunities for the creative use of IT capabilities including exploiting new technologies, repurposing existing technologies in new ways and utilising new IT services

* Define design standards and patterns to maximise re-use and ensure quality of solutions through effective design governance.

**About You:**

Youll have a solution-driven consultative mindset and be confident providing expert design advice to our IS Farm Source Retail processes. Bringing experience from a large enterprise organisation and an understanding of integration practices across, but not limited to, SAP (ECC and BW), eCommerce, Point of Sale and Salesforce CRM environments, your ability to offer a range of alternative solutions and make definitive decisions will be critical.

With a customer-centric approach and strategic agility, you are able to effectively align our functions to strategic business needs. A strong grasp of Retail, Supply Chain, and Logistics business functions is preferred, along with extensive experience understanding how SAP interfaces between multiple business functions.

A few other key skills will be:

* Proven experience working in a large complex environment

* Experience working across functional design project governance and review process

* Advanced /expert level of knowledge of relevant SAP modules, preferably including IS-Retail and *Retail* business processes.

* Consulting skills to effectively understand business requirements and mapping to ERP functionality.

* Demonstrated skills and knowledge of tools and methodologies employed in an ERP environment (including design and build processes)

* Ability to guide and mentor others to achieve collaborative results.
