What You'll Do :

The Business & Inventory Analyst is focused on Systems / Data / Processes to improve Inventory Accuracy and maximize cost shipments and retail sales.

Provides sound data analysis and insights influencing optimal outcomes. Troubleshoot inventory related issues, both financial and unit, and work cross functionally to address issues identified.

Validate Follett forecasting for financial and unit integrity based on history, sales trend analysis, and future promotional & assortment changes.

Responsibilities :

Weekly Reporting : Manage inventory tracking weekly / monthly / quarterly / YTD. Provide insights into business trends & opportunities.

Set up reporting for endcap's special programs, new items, as well as promotional recaps.

Order Review & Recommendations : Weekly status with internal logistics, product, and sales teams. Monitor inventory out of stocks.

Reviewing cuts and securing orders.

Monthly Forecasting for Internal Planning : Analyze past & current trends along with future promotions and business shifts.

Enter PO's into internal systems & work with planning team to properly manage inventory flow into Follett warehouses.

• Cost Shipments : Forecast weekly / monthly cost shipments. Weekly cost shipments call & maintain monthly tracking vs LY and current year plan.
• Managing New Items & inventory on Deleted Items : Provide collaborative forecast to sales and product organizations.
• Promotional Forecast : Manage buy quantity, lift, incrementality, & markdown analysis. Maintain promotional calendar and understand YOY shifts & effect to sales trends.
• Vendor relationship management : Work with vendors to get the latest pricing, information on new products and updates on shipping statues.
• Warehouse communication : Coordinating shipment details with the warehouse, including being certain that the warehouse receives tracking information in a timely manner and overseeing special needs for international shipments arriving at the warehouse.
