JOB TITLE: Restaurant Busser DEPARTMENT: F&B REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, F&B Director CLASSIFICATION: Full-time/Hourly $17.60 per hour SUMMARY: As a Hotel Restaurant Busser, you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your primary responsibility is to maintain cleanliness and organization within the dining area while providing support to both guests and restaurant staff. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Table Setup and Preparation:· Ensure tables are properly set with clean linens, utensils, and condiments before guests arrive.· Assist in arranging tables and chairs to accommodate reservations and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.2. Table Service Assistance:· Greet guests warmly as they are seated and assist them in getting settled.· Clear tables promptly and efficiently after guests finish their meals, ensuring used dishes, glassware, and utensils are removed.· Dispose of waste and leftover food in designated bins and trays, following proper sanitation guidelines.3. Table Maintenance and Cleaning:· Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and surrounding areas thoroughly between seatings to maintain a hygienic environment.· Monitor table turnover and ensure that tables are promptly reset for incoming guests.· Refill water glasses and provide additional tableware as needed throughout the meal service.4. Guest Assistance and Support:· Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests for additional items or assistance.· Communicate effectively with guests and coworkers, providing information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.· Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, escalating issues to management when necessary.5. Collaboration with Restaurant Team:· Work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination of service.· Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables, maintaining accuracy and presentation standards.· Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests to the kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction.6. Cleanliness and Safety Compliance:· Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food, cleaning chemicals, and personal hygiene.· Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas, including dining room, service stations, and back-of-house areas.· Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.7.
