JOB SUMMARY: The Goat Tree busser is responsible for setting up restaurant stations and assisting servers by helping attend to guest tables, in accordance with hotel standards.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:• Maintain complete knowledge of all services related to the hotel.• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information as required by the hotel.• Meet with supervisor and servers to review assignments, anticipate business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance.• Ensure all items are in place and ready for service.• Polish dishes, kitchen utensils and equipment.• Set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies.• Serve ice water, coffee, rolls, or butter to guests.• Remove dishes and utensils from tables after meals are finished.• Carry dishes and other tableware to Stewarding for cleaning.• Wipe tables and/or seats with dampened cloths or replace dirty tablecloths.• Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.• Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays.• Fill beverage or ice dispensers.• Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.• Locate items requested by customers.• Review status of work and follow up actions required with supervisor prior to leaving.• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required• 1 year experience as a Steward or Runner in a 4 Star or higher rated hotel or restaurant. • Food Handling certified.• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest service.• Basic knowledge of the English language.• Vocational training.• Hospitality or Restaurant experience.• Alcohol Awareness certifiedQUALIFICATION:Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the safety or health of employee or others.
