Fluor is Hiring a Lead Systems Administrator (TS/SCI with Poly Required) Near Denver, CO
*** Must possess a clearance at the TS/SCI access level, and have favorably completed a government issued polygraph ***The Lead Systems Administrator is highly knowledgeable within designated Industrial Control System (ICS) Information Technology (IT) area of responsibility and applies that knowledge toward broad and diverse assignments. This role plans and coordinates activities related to the design, development, implementation, and integration of IT solutions. The Lead Systems Administrator analyzes, evaluates, and proposes recommendations innovative solutions. This role will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of ICS IT systems. This position may lead and guide other IT staff.• Provide accurate, timely oral and written communications to IT and impacted management to discuss identified deficiencies, best practices, and recommendations for implementation of modifications to improve compliance and mitigate risk• Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links• Analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required• Manage all network hardware and equipment; security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems and hardware and software upgrades• Participate in, coordinate, and/or assist in managing compliance activities and complex IT initiatives• Ensure and monitor compliance with laws, regulations, rules and internal policies and procedures• Ensure that IT risks are recognized and appropriately mitigated in a timely manner• Continually audit hardware and software inventories to maintain compliance• Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of designated IT solutions• Execute IT projects, including conceptualizing, organizing, planning, and anticipating project needs• Work with stakeholders to define business solutions and requirements for technology enhancement implementations• Manage all personal computer (PC) replacement activities to include coordinating with various internal and external service providers; communicate activities and financial impacts; ensure accurate and auditable information is available by maintaining asset database and performing inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets to include software licensing• Effectively adapts to rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs• Manage customer service levels by coordinating prompt response to issues/outages, incidents and service escalations; monitor critical local issues through to resolution; communicate action and progress updates to customers• Lead major troubleshooting and problem resolution efforts, and escalate issues as necessary• Lead and/or provide primary technical direction for operational projects• Direct activities and priorities for third party IT support teams• Demonstrated strong technical and non-technical communication and presentation skills in both oral and written formats• Keep abreast of IT trends, technologies, and strategies for potential impact and advantages to the business • Other duties assignedSalary Range: $120,000 to $145,000Fluor is proud to offer industry leading benefits program that includes access to the following; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner• Accredited degree or global equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline• May require Certified Network Engineer (CNE or CNE/NT) or Certified Network Administrator (CNA) credentials or other applicable certifications• Seven (7) years of Information Technology (IT ) related experience in one or more of the following areas: data communications engineering, data and/or voice communications, hardware or software analysis, network administration, or management or data and/or voice communications equipment installation and maintenance• Effectively adapts to rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs• Strong analytical and conceptual skills• Demonstrated strong technical and non-technical communication and presentation skills in both oral and written formats• Must possess a clearance at the TS/SCI access level, and have favorably completed a government issued polygraph• Security certification• Experience with Windows 7/10 Desktop OS as well as Windows Server 2012/16 managing and creating policies in an Active Directory as well as standalone environment. • Hardening Windows systems and patching remediating as required in a timely manner
