Position: Floor Sanitation Technician

Pay: $17 hourly

Schedule: Fri-Sun (6:30am-7:15pm)

ROLE SUMMARY

Floor Tech/Sanitation is responsible for maintaining tile floors and carpets to professional standards. In addition to general facility maintenance and sanitation of all cultivation areas. Sanitation consists of washing, cleaning, sanitizing, drying, sweeping, and mopping.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides professional floor maintenance including but not limited to stripping floors, waxing, and shampooing carpets.
• Executes washing, cleaning and sanitizing tasks/duties and assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Sustains clean and tidy workspaces and displays a high standard of cleanliness.
• Clean & sanitize plant common spaces and tools.
• Mop up spills, leaks, and other occupational hazards.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
• Assure all cannabis products are free from contamination risks.
• Responsible for sanitation of equipment and maintenance of plant trays and irrigation system.
• Employ professional and clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere.
• Ensure that refuse and waste products are managed and destroyed as per the current approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all cultivation activities during medical cannabis processing, at all times, to result consistent quality cannabis products.
• May be required to cover plant janitorial duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.
• 3-5 years professional floor cleaning experience.
• 2 years janitorial experience.
• Ability to follow directions and established procedures.
• Maintains stable performance under pressure.
• Communicate clearly, proactively, and concisely with all management.

• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrates ability to take direction, organize, and prioritize work according to management.
• Work effectively and responsibly with minimal supervision.
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.

• Ability to build good relationships. There will be frequent contact with internal and external people, either face to face or by telephone or email.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities are assigned to this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The company will ask you to help out in other departments depending on company needs. This means that you may not always work in the department that you were hired, teamwork and getting product out to patients is the goal and this means helping out where you are needed is crucial to your success as well as the company’s success.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.

Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

Must pass a drug screening.
