Flour Market is a wholesale bakery located in inner SE Portland. We produce all types of breads, breakfast pastries and desserts for a growing list of Portland restaurants and cafes, as well as our own retail cafe and online store. (Check our our website and instagram @flourmarketpdx)

We currently have an opening for a new member on our pastry team. We are looking for someone with plenty of experience in all areas of pastry production, including mixing, sheeting and shaping all types of doughs, batters, and fillings. You will work as part of a small team, but also need to be comfortable working independently. This is a full time job, and there is some pretty sweet flexibility in the daily hours.

We have a great wholesale list you will be responsible for, but we also like to add new items to sell directly to our customers through the cafe and our website, so there is also the chance to be creative and show off a little.

Starting wage is $18/hr and up, depending on experience. Tips from the cafe are divided among the staff every two weeks.

Respect for the art of baking and pride in your craft

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Current food handlers card

• We are a relatively new company and always looking to expand our repertoire. We encourage input and ideas from staff and offer the chance to be creative along with the reliability of the weekly production schedule.
• The schedule for this position is very flexible. It will require working weekends, but the hours are something we can discuss during the interview process. It's important to us that our employees have a positive work/life balance.
• Compensation is based on experience. Cafe and online tips are divided among the staff based on hours worked.
