POSITION SUMMARY :
The registered nurse in a 23-hour observation unit works under the direction of the Director of Ambulatory Surgery Center and is responsible for the provision of high-quality patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education, skills, and experience :
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals at all levels.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound clinical judgements in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and achieving positive outcomes.
