Associate Accountant

The Associate Accountant is responsible for supporting our General Accounting team. This job reports to the Sr. Manager, Accounting.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in month end closing of books of accounts (including but not limited to Cash, Fixed Assets, Account Payable, T&E expense reimbursement) / working on various sub-ledgers / accounting knowledge / balance sheet reconciliation & reporting activities.
• Assist in quarterly and annual financial statement preparation and analyses.
• Assist in annual external audit and experience with researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.
• Participate in the development and improvement of internal control policies, procedures and compliance.
• Support equity-based transactions, including fundraising and stock compensation expenses.
• Support ad hoc analysis for operating departments and management as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and experience working with a fast-paced, fast changing, high-tech start-up or complex company.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Word and Excel, and intuitive and fast learner to different software and technologies.
• Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 years of experience in accounting or related fields preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Experience using Oracle Financial Application preferred.
