Position Title: Assistant to Director of Chinese Markets and Enrollment
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to fill the role of Assistant to the
Director of Enrollment, with proficiency in Mandarin. This position plays a critical role in
supporting the Director of Enrollment in various administrative tasks, communications, and
coordination efforts within our institution.
Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support: Assist the Director of Enrollment in daily administrative tasks
such as scheduling appointments, managing emails, and organizing documents.
2. Communications: Serve as a liaison between the Director of Enrollment and Mandarin-
speaking stakeholders, including prospective students and their families, alumni, and
other partners. Conduct correspondence in Mandarin as needed.
3. Translation and Interpretation: Provide translation and interpretation services from
Mandarin to English and vice versa for documents, meetings, and communications as
required.
4. Data Management: Assist in maintaining accurate records of enrollment data, including
applications, admissions, and student demographics. Ensure confidentiality and integrity
of all enrollment-related information.
5. Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of enrollment events, such as
information sessions, open houses, and recruitment fairs. Coordinate logistics and
provide support during events, including interacting with Mandarin-speaking attendees.
6. Admissions Support: Aid in the admissions process by communicating with Mandarin-
speaking applicants, providing information about application requirements, deadlines,
and procedures.
7. Cultural Liaison: Serve as a cultural liaison between the institution and Mandarin-
speaking communities, providing insight and assistance in understanding cultural nuances
and preferences.
8. Other Duties: Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of
Enrollment to support the overall objectives of the Enrollment Department.
Requirements:
1. Fluency in Mandarin (written and verbal) is essential.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
6. Prior experience in an administrative or customer service role is preferred.
7. Knowledge of HubSpot preferred
8. Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
